Welcome Message:
Founded in 1912 by the Foreign Mission of the National Baptist Convention U.S.A. Inc., Suehn Industrial Mission became one of Liberia’s respected institutions of learning and helped shape the lives of many Liberians over the years. Located in Bomi County, the school stood as a place of education, discipline, faith, and opportunity for generations of students.
Like many institutions in Liberia, Suehn Mission suffered greatly during the civil war. The campus and its facilities were heavily damaged, forcing the school to close for several years. Although efforts to reopen and renovate the institution have begun, much work remains.
Today, the Suehn Alumni Association continues to stand with the Board and supporters of the institution in the shared effort to restore Suehn Mission to its former strength and purpose. We believe in the power of education, the strength of community, and the importance of preserving the legacy of a school that has meant so much to so many.
Welcome to the official home of the Suehn Alumni Association.
Mission Statement:
The Suehn Alumni Association brings together former students, supporters, and friends of Suehn Industrial Mission to help rebuild, support, and strengthen the institution. We are committed to preserving the school’s rich history, supporting its growth, and working together to create new opportunities for future generations of students.
Vision Statement:
To see Suehn Industrial Mission restored as a thriving school that continues to shape lives, develop leaders, and give young people in Liberia the opportunity to build a better future.
